June 2026 User Report

July 9, 2026

We’re starting to incorporate monthly user reports into the weekly memo intros each month. This includes snapshots of metrics from the admin dashboard and some additional data points pulled from the database to show high-level user activities. We’re beginning to use Post-hog to track more detailed user flows.

In June 2026 we saw continued fast user growth, primarily through NYCA. But the question of how far these NYCA users will get in Momentum is starting to rise to the surface. We have more users than ever, but to what end? To date Momentum seems like more of an informational platform than a place to take action. Can we change that?

Good signs June 2026

  • The pace of new user growth continues to be fast. 3 months in a row of >200 new users per month with June the highest yet! NYCA continues to dominate but Building Innovation Hubs makes a strong contribution for the second month in a row.
  • Building creation back up after a drop in May.
  • Power Users (who use Momentum at least 8x/month) are growing rapidly - up to almost 25, our highest number yet. Regular Users (who were active in at least 10 of the last 12 months) are dropping. This may mean we’re shedding some older users as we gain more users through new programs. Regular users may tick back up after enough time passes that the new program users hit 10 months since program launch.

Bad signs June 2026

  • Scopes and new projects are down from May, though partly this is because HCR CFHF projects mostly onboarded in May and are limited size cohort.
  • Churn is quite high and continues to rise. This is not surprising since so many folks are trying it out and may not really know what to expect when they first log in, but still points to a missed opportunity to find and retain users.
  • We continue to see large drop-offs in post-hog in getting to custom scopes - in June only 4% of users who got the add buildings page saved a custom scope.

  • App team’s rotations – tech lead, release lead, bug swatter – are going great! (BJ)
  • Map launched! Kudos Ilayda, Robin, and Jason! (BJ)
  • Very close to launching SEVERAL features: In-app messaging, new building and scope pages, scope over time. (BJ)
  • Willdan continues to be a challenge on the Salesforce integration. Too many requests, too little understanding (JIB) +1, and they didn’t bother to consult us on the new website content about Momentum (BJ)

Looking out for icebergs: What are the risks on the horizon that we’re watching for and navigating around?

  • Boston! Great to be expanding, but also the risk of getting spread thin. We have a lot going on!
  • Working with Willdan is a risk - and tires our people out!
  • Turning on the flags for the new building and scope pages, in-application messaging
  • Flipping CPC from the old to new projects! Whoot!
