FinOps Tech Stack & Access
Section titled “FinOps Tech Stack & Access”Access
Section titled “Access”For Employees
Section titled “For Employees”Access to our FinOps tech stack is managed during onboarding, depending on the role. All other access is granted on an as-needed basis by that platform’s admin, who is noted below.
For a description of and permissions for our banking and credit platforms, see Bank Accounts.
Non-employees
Section titled “Non-employees”We have a number of FinOps-related files and tools that we make available to vendors, contractors and investors. All non-employee access to these files and tools are tracked so we can make sure our information is not continuously open and “out there”. We note the person’s full name, what they have access to, email address that has access, level of permissions, access start and end dates and the purpose for the access.
The access list is maintained by Erika.
A list of who has access to which tools is available in the Shared Drive > Strategic Growth > Financial Operations > FinOps Access.
Quickbooks
Section titled “Quickbooks”QuickBooks Online (QBO) is our bookkeeping and invoicing tool-it’s the source of truth for our financials, and everything else we use needs to be able to talk to it.
Full Access / Admins: Full Access users can make changes to the chart of accounts, settings (including billing and payments) and invoices, as well as issue invoices.
- CEO / Bomee Jung - also the Primary Admin
- Strategic Growth Lead / Erika Parkins
Accountant Access: Accountants can do all of the above except make changes to settings.
- Bookkeeper / Sara Vasilovski
- We also have a “Book Keeper” user profile to share with external accounting firms when they need to evaluate our setup and books. This user account is to minimize the number of people outside of our company, who have access to our financial records.
QuickBooks Online: Budgeting
Section titled “QuickBooks Online: Budgeting”We use QBO’s built-in budget feature for financial modeling, tracking budget vs. actuals, and getting a read on business performance. All financial data lives here.
Ramp: Spend Management
Section titled “Ramp: Spend Management”Ramp is our spend management platform for vendor bill payments, expense tracking, and virtual cards. It syncs directly with QBO and replaced Airbase as of Q1 2025.
The idea behind Ramp is to give department leads direct ownership over their spending rather than routing everything through one person - expenses get categorized at the point of payment, vendor invoices get ingested automatically, and nothing falls through the cracks.
A few things to know: all new spend activity needs to flow through Ramp, and the following requests should also be made there:
- Benefits (laptop reimbursement, remote work setup, coffee shop allowance)
- Access to shared cards or programs (like Claude Code)
-
Administrators: Bomee Jung and Erika Parkins. Administrators can manage all permissions, approvals, cards, reimbursements, and all vendor and accounting settings.
-
Lead: Marc Zuluaga, François Huet, Jason Block and Jon Braman. Leads have the same permissions as administrators with the exception of an approval spend limit of $5,000 and no access to settings and account management.Multiple cards can be issued to leads for different spending purposes.
-
Employee: Everyone else. Employees can submit expenses, upload vendor invoices, request virtual cards or reimbursements, and view department-level spend and vendor details.
-
FinOps: Sara Vasilovski. FinOps roles can manage all accounting, vendor and bill payment activity. Owns GL mapping, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Amex Card
Section titled “Amex Card”Corporate Amex cards are held by Bomee Jung, Marc Zuluaga, and Jason Block. Transactions are reconciled monthly in QBO.
Internal & Confidential: This page is only available in the internal handbook and contains confidential information.
